On the afternoon of November 18, 2025, at the VMRF Representative Office – Room R1-904, The EverRich Building, 968 3/2 Street, Phu Tho Ward, District 11, Ho Chi Minh City, we held a Workshop with the theme:
“HEDGING & THE APPLICATION OF COMMODITY DERIVATIVES TRADING IN PRICE VOLATILITY RISK CONTROL.”
The workshop saw the participation of:
Speaker: Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung – Member of the Board of Directors, Deputy General Director of VQB Mineral & Trading Group JSC, with over 18 years of experience in applying hedging tools and trading commodity derivatives on LME, SHFE, MXV, etc.
Mr. Doan Hoa – Member of the VMRF Management Board
Along with the presence of hedging specialists and business specialists from the following enterprises: Stavian Industrial Metals, Thang Long Metallurgy Co., Ltd., Pinaco, Young Poong Corporation, Shinyang Metal Vietnam, XMXYG CO., LTD, HAP Commodities, Prima Steel & Metal, etc.
In a friendly and open atmosphere, the workshop strongly highlighted the crucial role of hedging (risk prevention) in commodity trading, especially for markets with high volatility such as metals, energy, and agricultural products.
Although the program was limited to only a few hours, the session provided many practical values and specific lessons for each enterprise. This helped to increase their business planning capabilities and foster greater proactivity in risk management.
