VMRF TO PARTICIPATE IN THE INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON NON-FERROUS METAL RECYCLING AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN SHANGHAI 2026

The Vietnam Metal Recycling Forum (VMRF) is honored to announce its participation in the 2026 International Forum on Non-Ferrous Metal Recycling and Sustainable Development, which will take place from July 8–10, 2026, at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, Shanghai, China.

The forum is organized within the framework of the “Five Concurrent Trade Shows” model, comprising ALUMINIUM CHINA 2026, Lightweight Asia 2026, COPPER CHINA 2026, Magnesium China 2026, and the Shanghai International Metal Recycling Expo 2026. Together, these exhibitions form a comprehensive integrated platform for the global non-ferrous metals ecosystem, bringing together thousands of industry experts, enterprises, investors, and policymakers from around the world.

At the forum, Ms. Ngo Thi Lan Phuong will represent VMRF and deliver a presentation entitled:

“Current Development Status, Policy Framework, and Future Trends of Vietnam’s Non-Ferrous Recycled Metals Industry”

The presentation will focus on several key topics, including:

• Policies, legal regulations, and environmental monitoring standards governing Vietnam’s non-ferrous metal recycling industry;
• The current development status of the non-ferrous metal recycling, dismantling, and processing sectors, including the distribution of recycling hubs and the supply-demand situation for recyclable raw materials;
• Trade activities involving recycled metals between Vietnam and China;
• Investment opportunities, recycling plant development, and industry upgrading trends in the context of green transition and circular economy development.

Promoting the Potential of Vietnam’s Non-Ferrous Metal Recycling Industry

Through this forum, VMRF will introduce the international community to a comprehensive overview of Vietnam’s non-ferrous metal recycling industry—an industry experiencing strong growth thanks to the continuous improvement of environmental policies, the implementation of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) mechanism, and the Government’s commitment to developing a circular economy.

Vietnam’s non-ferrous metal recycling sector is gradually transitioning from traditional production models to modern recycling facilities equipped with advanced technologies and capable of meeting increasingly stringent environmental standards. Major recycling centers across both Northern and Southern Vietnam are playing a vital role in strengthening the recycled raw material supply chain, contributing to efficient resource utilization and promoting green growth.
