- A plant in Hiratsuka City near Yokohama, operated by Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo, processes around 3,000 tons of material annually to recover gold and other metals.
- The Japanese government is also promoting the recycling of other critical metals, such as those used in electric vehicles, to enhance economic security.
Vietnam Joins High-Profit Metal Recycling Industry
- Vietnam has signed a memorandum of understanding with Bangkok Assay Office Group from Thailand for a project to process gold from electronic waste in Binh Dinh Province, with an estimated investment of VND 2.4 trillion.
- This marks a significant step for Vietnam in entering the high-profit recycling industry for precious metals from e-waste, contributing to environmental protection.
