On April 23, 2026, VMRF was represented at the Euregio Networking Event in Cologne by our board member, Trung Nguyen.
In beautiful spring weather, around 550 participants from across Europe gathered in Cologne, Germany, for this networking event, including representatives from Austria, Belgium, Poland, Italy, the Netherlands, and more. This event is particularly unique, as it brings together four associations—MRF, VDM, BDSV, and denuo—from three different countries (Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands).
Once again, the event highlighted how essential personal dialogue and strong networks are in our industry, especially in challenging times. Key topics such as the Sea Ban and digitalization were discussed in depth, including DIWASS (Digital Waste Shipment System)—the new IT system developed by the European Commission for the mandatory digital processing of cross-border waste shipments starting May 21, 2026.
At VMRF, we strongly believe in the importance of free trade for various material streams.
We would like to sincerely thank the two organizing associations, VDM and BDSV, for the excellent planning of this event. A special thanks also goes to the President of VDM, Mr. Murat Bayram, who has continuously supported VMRF since the very beginning of our founding two years ago.
